New formulas and new products are pushed by beauty brands monthly, and I'm all for trying the latest serum which claims to give your skin the #nofilter glow-up, or the heavy duty moisturiser that won't budge when you're off to travel in some cold, freezing, subzero temperature country.
That being said, over the past two years of having the privilege to try and test new skincare products, here is what I've found myself going back to again and again.
#5 This no-fail soothing night mask
The Body Shop Aloe Soothing Rescue Cream Mask, RM75
Empty count: One 100ml tub
I first discovered the wonders of a heavy duty sleeping mask when I was travelling to visit a friend in UK last year. I thought I could get away with a repacked tub of my trusty aloe vera gel as moisturiser (no, not in cold countries) since it was summer, but after waking up to cracked lip corners and dry under-nose patches after two nights in the Scottish countryside, I began to appreciate and wallop this sleeping mask on my face. Safe to say I bought two backup tubs back to Malaysia – but I use it sparingly on nights my skin needs an intense moisture boost!
