The luxurious Leekaja has been around in Korea for almost 5 decades now, thanks to Madame Leekaja. With its growing success over the years, LKJ can now be found in the States, China, Australia, Singapore and Malaysia.
Upon further inspection on their website, I found many things to my likings, from the hair tools used to the atmosphere and of course the experienced hairstylist, most of whom are from Korea.
Here’s the interior of salon, swoon alert! You’ve been warned.
I had swung by LKJ yesterday after work for the review and the hospitality provided by LeeKaJa’s staff was top notch. I enjoyed drinks from the cafe starting off with my fresh orange juice welcome drink to a camomile tea later to keep me warm. Once I was seated in the private room area, hairstylist Mr Baek Hyun Woo came to have a look at my hair before deciding what to do next.
What went down took about three hours, from the colouring of my hair to a quick treatment and cut.
Prior to this I had long straight hair which involved me constantly doing relaxing and treatments but wanting a change I had chopped my hair uber short and rocked a pixie till my curls grew out. Hyun Woo noted how out of shape my hair had become as I refused to cut it and wanted to grow it out, so after talking we came to an agreement as to what be best for my hair.
I for one knew that I was tired of black hair and wanted some colour and was positive the straight hair life wasn’t for me at this point.
Hyun Woo coloured my hair a dark reddish brown and due to having thick black hair the hair dye was applied a few times and left for a bit before washing it off and moving to the Korean Cream Bath treatment. This treatment is uber quick as it only involves two steps, the first being application of keratin oil cream followed by step two where the aqua keratin is applied to moisture and soften my hair and washed off after.
After which he proceeded to giving my hair the necessary snips for that shape and chopped my super long fringe. I must say I am satisfied, there are some who like the colour and some had told me it made me seem more mature but I like it. Kudos to Hyun Woo for sorting me out.
LKJ is known for their signature treatment dubbed the Cinderella treatment which I intent on trying on my next visit.
Head onto their website and find a hair service to your liking and make an appointment asap for that much needed pampering. https://www.leekaja.my/
