Say hello to Kat Von D’s latest collection dubbed Divine. The collection draws inspiration from the late legendary drag queen named Divine. His actual name being Harris Glenn. It is a collection which pushes one to express themselves via creativity, transformation and beauty.
Harris Glenn was known for his loud, larger-than-life persona and without a doubt fabulous makeup that matched. Despite facing numerous criticism, he pushed forward and stayed true to himself which was definitely inspiring for the marginalized subcultures.
According to CEO of Divine Official Enterprises, LLC @divineofficial Divine and Kat had connected on so many levels, from artistry to fashion and makeup and their common love for all things furry and music. Both of them embody glamour, beauty and that attitude which is portrayed in the Kat Von D X Divine Collection that will have makeup devotees hooked.
First up from the must have Kat Von D x Divine collection would be the I am Divine Eyeshadow Palette.
We think it’s gorgeous. The limited edition palette comprises of a total of shades ranging from high pigment matte to shimmer and metallic shades.Guess who? The cover of the palette features a selfie-friendly cover design. Names of the shades are based on some of Divine’s legendary performances both off and on screen- Babs, Hard Magic, Baltimore, Waters, Filthy, Pink Flamingos, Female Trouble, and Hairspray. No wonder they seem familiar eh?
Kat Von D x Divine I Am Divine Studded Kiss Lipstick
The studded kiss creme lipstick sees a new shade in this collection, a nude one that is. Not only are we digging the never-before-seen nude but we are also loving the collectible neon green studded packaging. Its creamy and also cushiony and of course it’s vegan so fret not about cruelty!
With that being said, here’s how you be inspired and get Divine’s look. The following images for the campaign were shot on Divine’s birthday. Four of Kat Von D Beauty Artistry Collective Global Makeup Artists had given Kat and her 3 muses the ‘Divine’ transformation.
