The Oscars fueled our love for glamour once again with Hollywood’s beautiful faces and exquisite couture dresses. From classic red lips to romantic purple smokey eyes, here are the best beauty looks from the 2017 Oscars.
1. Emma Stone
Looking like a true Hollywood winner with gold smokey eyes, vintage curls and a bold red lip, Emma won Best Actress for the widely acclaimed romantic musical La La Land. She had also won awards for the Golden Globes, BAFTA Awards and the Screen Actor’s Guild Awards earlier this year. One thing’s for sure – gold is definitely Emma’s colour!
2. Priyanka Chopra
Looking divine in her white, silver and pastel $3 million Ralph and Russo gown, Priyanka made quite an impact on the red carpet. Pati Dubroff, celebrity makeup artist for Laura Mercier, created a subtle silver smokey eye for Priyanka to complement the pastel tones on her dress.
3. Karlie Kloss
Looking fresh and radiant was supermodel Karlie, with bright coral lips and a healthy flush on her cheeks. This refreshing shade really stood out amidst her all-white dress and diamond accessories.
4. Hailee Steinfeld
Hailee’s brushed up brows, hazy brown smokey eyes and glossy nude lips really tied in perfectly with her sleek updo and frilly scallop dress.
5. Chrissy Teigen
John Legend couldn’t take his eyes off his gorgeous wife, Chrissy, and neither could we! She went for all-brown hues on her eyes, cheeks and lips, which really brought out her features and skin tone.
6. Charlize Theron
Ever the regal queen on screen, Charlize Theron channeled that same royalty and glamour onto the red carpet with a silver-toned eyes, peachy nude lips and an elegant updo. The pops of glittery silver on her eyelids went hand in hand with the silvery accents of her metallic gown and her diamond drop earrings.
7. Scarlett Johansson
Looking cool yet feminine was Scarlett Johansson, who rocked her new pixie do with esteemed confidence. To keep the look soft and girly, she went for silver rimmed eyes and a rosy pink flush on her lips and cheeks.
8. Michelle Williams
Sporting a peroxide blonde, Mia Farrow-esque pixie cut was Michelle Williams – a hairstyle that brings out her delicate face and features beautifully. Fluttery feathery lashes, rosy nude lips and flushed cheeks gave just the right touch of understated glamour and girlishness.
9. Jessica Biel
Decked out in an all gold body-hugging ensemble was Jessica Biel, who looked as graceful and elegant as the iconic Oscar statuette. She paired her sleek low chignon with a thick jet-black liner, warm skin and peachy nude lips.
10. Janelle Monáe
Janelle didn’t hold back on the bling and glamour this time around as she swept onto the red carpet in a dramatic fairy tale Elie Saab gown, speckled with clusters of gems and intricate embroidery. A golden diamond-encrusted band adorned her cropped curls, and even her nails were decorated with sparkly little rhinestones.
11. Naomie Harris
Instead of the usual brown and grey eyeshadows, Naomie went for a haze of plum on her eyelids and a dark burgundy pencil that was lined all along her upper and lower waterline.
12. Ruth Negga
Clashing the classic Elizabethan era with modern and daring colours was actress Ruth Negga, in an all-red lace gown, complete with high neckline and ruby-encrusted crown. Ruby red lips and wine-stained eyes added to the dramatic flair of her look.
13. Felicity Jones
With all the smokey eyes and bold lips on the red carpet, it was a refreshing sight to see Felicity in barely-there makeup, save for a thick liner and doe-eyed lashes.
14. Sofia Carson
How gorgeous is this updo on Sofia? It’s the perfect do for weddings and special occasions. Her hair was given a masculine side part and was swept back neatly into a low chignon, complete with fishtail braid detail. Red lips and a diamond hairpin added just the right amount of demure elegance.
15. Olivia Culpo
Purple is a shade that suits absolutely everyone, and we’re loving the use of lilac coloured eyeshadow on Olivia’s eyes. To toughen up the pastel shade on the eyes, Olivia opted for a low sleek ponytail, a pale nude lip, and lashes with lots of volume and drama.
