You’ve seen part 1 of our Sephora beauty reviews, here’s part 2! We received an amazing package from Sephora filled with high tech gadgets and products that would help rejuvenate the skin in a more time effective manner than regular products, here’s what fashion editor, Azza and I tried for two weeks and what we think of the products we used.
NuFace Mini Facial Toning Device, RM720
Essentially the NuFace device is a machine that sends a low flow of electricity through your skin to stimulate muscles and bloodflow. You slather on a gel that comes with the device all over your face before you begin and choose from 3 different levels of intensity: low, medium, and high. I tried it out for a few days, 5 minutes everyday, and found that even after just the first session, my skin was pulled tighter and my face felt lifted. I was using the machine on medium intensity, but after a week, I started to break out and my skin felt very dry, and was forced to take it down a notch.
Although, I wouldn’t recommend this for younger skin, it works excellently well at firming and lifting the skin, and would recommended it to anyone looking for a youthful lift.
Glamglow Flashmud Brightening Treatment, RM255
Glamglow carries my all time favourite mud-masks, and they’re my favourite because they work like a charm. This brightening treatment is perfect for gals (and guys) that love the sun, or have an uneven skintone, which I find I’ve been plagued with for awhile since my last trip to the beach. The mud mask is a 10 minute mask that provides almost immediate results, giving the skin a beautiful radiance and colour correcting effect like no other! I’m so in love with Glamglow’s mud-masks because of the fast acting results and how good my skin feels after just one application.

Foreo IRIS Illuminating Eye Massager, RM384
I’m sure most of you would agree with me when I say I’m always on the
lookout for something, anything, to get rid of my eye bags and tired
looking eyes. I did try anything and everything I could get my
hands on; luxurious remedies such as eye creams and serums, even
natural remedies using frozen tea bags and cucumbers. Yes, these
methods did brighten up my eye area, but my eyes still felt tired and
heavy. So when I was told to try the Foreo IRIS Illuminating Eye
Massager, I jumped at it.
Using an Alternating T-Sonic Technology, the Eye Massager puts that fingertip tapping
magic to work with only a few clicks around your eyes, and it feels SO
good! I could literally feel the blood pumping around my eyes,
circulating better. Holding the device for a few seconds on each area
while it tapped away felt so relaxing that I fell asleep right after!
No kidding. I would first apply my trusted La Mer eye cream on and
then use the eye massager over it. I do feel that the eye cream is
absorbed into my skin better due to this machine, and yes after two
weeks of religiously using the magic little machine, my eye area feels
fresher and looks much brighter. It certainly helped to boost
micro-blood circulation and oxygenate skin, thereby reducing signs of
any fatigue, fine lines, dark circles and puffiness. I’m not putting
this little one down any time soon!
Caudalie Resveratrol Lift Firming Serum, RM260
I’m not getting any younger, and neither is my skin so therefore I was on a mission on finding a serum that would visibly recontour, refirm, and replump my skin. Then, I came across Caudalie’s Resveratrol lift firming serum and I was hooked. The oil-free, innovative resculpting serum is formulated with the brand’s latest breakthrough patent of stabilised vine resveratrol (for firmness) and micro hyaluronic acids (for volume) to visibly recontour, refirm, and replump ageing skin. The light, hydrating texture of the serum blends into the skin without any sticky residue. After just two weeks its still early for me to report on any changes to my skin but I must say, my skin feels brighter and firmer than it had been before!
