Malaysians Michelle and Rachel Yeoh walks for Dolce & Gabbana, alongside second-generations celebrities and social media stars
Dolce & Gabbana was all about royal love for its FW17 show at Milan Fashion Week. The opening act saw pop singer Austin Mahone performing “Shake It for Me,” “What About Love?”, and other hits, while (non) models of all ages walked the leopard-print runway.
The casting was a mix of non-models, including offsprings of celebrities Jamie Foxx, Pam Anderson, Christie Brinkley and Rene Russo, social-media star Aimee Song and singer Madison Beer, and second-generation celebs like Sailor Brinkley-Cook, Anaïs Gallagher, Gabriel-Kane Day-Lewis, Delilah Belle Hamlin, Rafferty Law, Sofia Richie, Dylan Lee, and Corinne Foxx. We also spotted Sarah Snyder, Luka Sabbat, Lucky Blue Smith, and Bianca Balti walking the runway alongside actresses, philanthropists, and “It” girls of all ages. Our very own Rachel and Michelle Yeoh were also part of the band of non-models storming down the runway.
Now lets talk about the collection. There was a mix of everything very Dolce-esque such as designs heavy on royal details like embroidered roses and hearts, tiaras and crowns, as well as ultra-femme lacy dresses, leopard prints, and even robes outfitted with stuffed animal heads. We even spotted a Justin Bieber shirt! It was an epic show indeed!
