When the soulful Sara Bareilles opened the Michael Kors Collection show with Otis Redding’s soulful anthem ‘The Dock of the Bay”, we knew the looks that we were about to view was going to be carefree, breezy and effortless. And we were right.
Michael Kors’s SS18 vacation-ready collection brought a laid-back beachy vibe to everyday dressing with a range of looks in breezy pastels that looked effortlessly undone. There were tie-dye, flowy slip dresses, overscale blazers, cut-offs, flip-flops, and sarongs. In addition to the subtle tie-dying, Kors showcased palm tree prints on some of his looks. There was something for nearly every personality type and even body type (Ashley Graham looked flawless in a monochrome palm-tree printed dress, and so did Maggie Rizer; Kirsty Hume, and Carolyn Murphy), and even showcased flip-flops for next Spring—lavishly crafted in croc.
