Some starlets opted for braids instead, but it’s not just your average fishtail we’re talking about. Rooney Mara stepped out on the red carpet with a braid that consisted of not just a single braid, but two. The starlet’s slicked back dark hair had been tied into two ponytails, one high up on her head and the other halfway down closer to her nape. The braid began at the topmost ponytail and worked its way down before merging with the second ponytail and forming a much thicker braid from her nape onwards.
Saoirse Ronan’s braid was a little less flashy than Mara’s but didn’t lack in the glitter department. Her blond hair which was otherwise combed to glossy perfection, sported two thin braids wrapped in gold thread giving off a distinct Grecian goddess vibe that complemented her toga-inspired gown.
Maria Menounos’ three strand lace braid that formed a wreath around her head also turned heads. Her wreath type lace braid began from her deep left side part and ended in a low ponytail tied at the nape of her neck.
