It doesn’t get any more real than this, Gigi speaks the facts about what modelling is like, in a way no other has before. In a short film by Steven Brahms, Gigi as the cover star of W’s September 2015 issue, explains her intense training she puts herself through before hitting the runway. Gigi shows us the seriousness of perfection when it comes to being a model. “Your job isn’t just to be skinny, or look pretty there is a lot that comes to play when you’re at it. Not everybody can make it big as a model, or succeed in this industry if they don’t put in effort, let alone create their own unique style of modelling and to be able to constantly own the runway.”
In this short film you will see Gigi in multiple shots and different runway outfits, doing the walk on a treadmill, making it look like a breeze. She also shows us, how sometimes she practices blindfolded, “I can’t see but I can feel everything around me.” It comes to show that, sometimes the event organizers play a lot with lighting, and if at any point you aren’t able to see clearly you’ve been trained blindfolded and you’re ready to walk the walk.
What we like about this short video, is the fact that she’s down to earth, sitting there with a plain tee, a messy bun, barely any make up on but being one of the top model’s in the industry comes to show that at the end of the day everyone is human and even though some of us may have glamorous jobs, living the high end life, when you strip all of that down we’re just like one another.
