For those who have missed the live show of Chanel’s Spring-Summer 2016 collection, we have great news! Here’s the boarding pass that gives you the full access to the replay of the show, our favorite picks from the collection, as well as a video from Karl Lagerfeld himself! So WELCOME to Terminal 2C of the Paris-Cambon airport! Boarding will commence at gate n°5.
Karl Lagerfeld transforms the Grand Palais into an airport, complete with the front of check-in counters, where hostesses and passengers head outward bound on the luxurious Chanel Airlines. Their hair is tied back with a double catogan* and tucked beneath a cap, boater or metallic headband. They wear wedge sandals with luminous soles or open booties in silver leather and transparent plastic. In their hands they carry either the new cabin case, the “Coco Case”, as Karl Lagerfeld calls it, the “absolute” bag with its pure line, or an XXL version of the 11.12.
Sit tight, and admire Karl Lagerfeld’s idea of travelling attire: ultra-feminine looks that combines comfort and elegance with chic, functional accessories, ideal for globetrotting in shades of blue, white, red, and carlingue** grey, pink and black, as well as floral and multi-colour prints, and in tweed, denim, leather, lace, guipure, tulle, silk and ottoman in a multitude of proposals. “We travel more and more. So why shouldn’t there be Chanel luggage?” the designer concludes.
Here are our favourite picks from the collection! What’s yours?
