MUD – The Story of Kuala Lumpur, an iconic musical that tells the story of the birth of Kuala Lumpur will be staging its final show in the iconic 113-year old Panggung Bandaraya theatre, marking its 2,000 shows milestone!
Staged by the award-winning performing arts powerhouse Enfiniti (M) Sdn Bhd, the show will be staged for the last time this 30th April 2017 before making a return on a new and improved format which will be open for corporate events and private bookings.
The longest running theatre show in Malaysia, Enfiniti is founded by renowned Malaysian actress, producer and arts connoisseur Tiara Jacquelina and has since produced a number of iconic musicals including Puteri Gunung Ledang and P. Ramlee the Musical.
With over 2,000 under its belt, the musical also marks many firsts in the performing arts industry such as being the first to hire cast members on a full time basis. Locals can easily relate while the international audience will find it interesting due to its diverse, multiracial cast perfectly represents the 1Malaysia demographic.
A musical collaboration between Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) and Enfiniti, sit back and enjoy a spectacular showcase of our capital’s rags-to-riches past and our forefathers’ humble beginnings. MUD does a brilliant job at revealing the story of Kuala Lumpur with its energetic musical number and cheeky ‘only-in-Malaysia’ one liners that will tug at the heartstrings of fellow Malaysians and make them glow in pride.
The show will be running until 30th April 2017. Audience will receive limited edition MUD – The Story of Kuala Lumpur merchandise items throughout the month of April (while stock last).
