Le Marché de Noël is known as the first French Charity Christmas Bazaar which came about in 2011 by a group of French female expats living in Malaysia. Throughout the years the aim of the event is to bring together vendors with trendy yet affordable products as gifts and profits from the sale automatically goes to charity.
Last year’s Le Marché de Noël helped 10-year-old Radiatul Qaisaraa who’s suffering from Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia fulfil her dream as Queen Elsa from Frozen. Qaisaraa got to have a diamente-encrusted ballerina shoes along with Queen Elsa’s blue dress. Dressed in her Queen Elsa ensemble she got to enjoy herself at the ‘royal’ tea party. Her parents were very happy that they were able to fulfill their daughter’s wish as Qaisaraa has been in and out of hospitals since she was 4. For that one day, Qaisaraa was able to put her medical challenges aside and just be a normal kid having fun.
This year around for its sixth edition, Le Marché de Noël will continue to help raise funds for A-Heart-For-A Heart foundation which is a charity programme by Gleneagles which helps children with congenital heart defects and also the well known Make-A-Wish-Foundation which help grant the wishes of terminally ill children.
This French Christmas market has charity at its heart and will continue to support underprivileged Malaysian children. The Christmas bazaar will be on the 7th of December 2017 at the Glasshouse at Seputeh. The committee of Le Marché de Noël has a target of raising RM220,000 in mind from this year’s French Christmas Market during the day followed by a Christmas party that will be held the same night.
As usual the proceeds from the sale goes to Make-A-Wish-Malaysia and A-Heart-For-A-Heart organization for helping provide aid for children who are affected by life-threatening medical conditions.
The Christmas bazaar will see more than 70 specially curated vendors who will have stalls up for the day. Fret not bazaar lovers as there will be an array of choices to pick from, ranging from quirk trappings, handcrafted goods, decorative items and other unique items.
Le Marché de Noël prides itself over the years as being one of the best Christmas markets in Malaysia to shop for one of a kind gifts and of course at the same time lending a hand for a good cause.
