The Macallan, hailed as one of the world’s most luxurious whisky brands, celebrated the launch of its newest addition, The Macallan Rare Cask, showcasing the process, heritage as well as craftsmanship at an exclusive two days event at Ruyi & Lyn, Bangsar Shopping Center hosted by Nadia Heng, on the 18th and 19 of January 2016 with the presence of Edrington’s Brand Trainer, Keith Nair.

The launch captured the true decadence of The Macallan as guests were guided through an exhibition adventure called, The Macallan Rare Cask Experience Gallery. Guests were guided through the step by step process of making whisky right from the planting of acorns to the handcrafting of each oak cask.
With the combination and long-standing connection of whisky and cuisines, the guests were welcomed to the dining area for a four-course whisky pairing dinner that was prepared by the team at Ruyi & Lyn, with a nice treat of entertainment from the Jazz Quartet. Following that, Edrington’s Brand Trainer, Keith Nair, took the stage and brought guests through the illustrations of food pairing between the cuisine and The Macallan whisky.
The Macallan Rare Cask is currently available at selected outlets such as The Penthouse, Hyde53M, Monarchy 61, H20, Merchant Pub, Club De-Royale, Ojos Bar, Zouk, Avalon & Meja and Brussels Beer Café, price at RM2,000 as well as hypermarkets at a retail price of RM1,600.
