Founded as a non-profit organisation to support local-based emerging artists, Sembilan Art Residency Program is back for its sixth season. Here’s how Sembilan Art Residency works: Artists are provided with a dedicated art space in a 1919 pre-war building located in Seremban. This workspace pushes artists to step out of their comfort zone in a new environment and living arrangements. By the end of the residency period, artists will have the opportunity to showcase their work.
Welcoming Tomi Heri and Sofia Haron, the pair will be showcasing 38 pieces of their work in Pancaroba, a joint exhibition held at KEN Gallery TTDI. Both Tomi and Sofia began their residency with different goals, but they had similar ambitions – to gain confidence in the creative field of their choice.
