Fook, based on a Cantonese word which means fortune, promises a brand-new experience out of Tamarind Restaurants. It gives a different kind of ambiance from the usual with promising menus. Only a 20-minute drive from Kuala Lumpur, it would make a worthy journey. Here are the reasons of why you should visit FOOK:
1. Beautiful Interior: Upon arrival, guests will be be greeted by a mural painting of a strikingly beautiful Asian girl. Even better, the new dining concept has more to offer than the walkway – it will take you to another world.
2. Delicious Food: You will be spoilt for choice when it comes to the menu. From the Smoked Beef Brisket in Charcoal Buns (RM50) to The Itik Kut Teh (RM33), the finger-licking good dishes will leave your tummy happy. By the end of the night, you will be thankful to Chef Sombat Kokasemkul for making such amazing dishes. Must-orders are the Fake Unagi F.U. (RM22), Black Mussel Pancake (RM36), Roasted Hoisin-Marinated Lamb Loin (RM99) and Sautéed Grouper with Chili & Garlic (RM55).
3. Happy Hour: Besides the delicious food, you will look forward to their easy-to-drink cocktails which are the ultimate in gastronomic relaxation. On the menu, you will be able to spot cocktails such as Groovy Baby, Dry Beer mixed with Grapefruit Cinnamon Compote and Grapefruit Purée (RM32) and Wake Up & FOOK, a mixture of Soju with Coffee Liqueur and Espresso (RM36). These are carefully crafted to tease out the best flavours. Note that happy hour starts from 5pm onwards.
