Who says the guy should make all the effort on Valentine’s Day? Show him you care and pamper him instead this year. Don’t worry if you’re not sure how to, we’ve got you!
Here are a few things you can do for your man this Valentine’s Day:
The traditional Valentine’s Day dine and date
I know how cliché this is but there’s nothing more romantic than cliché. Prepare the roses, the wine and of course, not to forget yourself. This is the night you treat him like the princess instead, and as un-masculine as that sounds, they can’t deny they love it.
And if you want to have a little more fun with a little less cash, instead of heading out just dine in. There’s something about preparing a meal together that makes it taste even better and of course, the quality time and privacy – it’s an offer he can’t deny.
A weekend getaway
Whether you’ve done the honeymoon or not, nothing’s more fun than pretending you’re on one. Thankfully, Valentine’s lands on the weekend this year so why not spend it away from the city? Go to the beach or head for a spa retreat, or if you don’t want to go too far but still want the experience, get a hotel room for the night and just have fun pretending you’re in a different city.
Go on an adventure
Come on girls, it’s time to get down and get physical. Do something new together or anything both of you will enjoy, it’s time to set aside “Netflix and chill” and get out of your comfort zone. Men generally are more inclined to enjoy more physical activities so go to a shooting range or go-karting or dirt-biking. Show him you can play rough too.
Doing some sort of physical activity is a lot more exciting than just having dinner.
Go to an Art Gallery or partake in an Art Workshop
This may sound weird or even boring but it’s actually pretty romantic. It builds a bond of interest and you’d definitely be leaving learning a lot more about your partner than you’d expect. Also, it’s just a really cute.
Or in today’s language, make him a playlist. Select all the songs that make you think of him, any meaningful songs or any songs you just want him to listen to and put them all in a CD. Don’t take the shortcut and just link him a playlist on Spotify, that’s not fun. Pretend you’re back in the 90’s and make a CD, decorate it and write him a love letter to go with it. It’s a very sweet and sentimental thing he can hold on to.
Gift him that shoe he’s been eyeing on
Now this is only if you’re willing to splurge because good taste isn’t cheap. I don’t know if this is a new trend or just a recent revelation but men really like their shoes. If there’s one part of fashion men obsess over, it’s definitely what’s on their feet. From Jordan’s to Yeezy’s, this would be a really great gift idea for your man that I promise, he will love.
