The news is out! British fashion icon Alexa Chung is L’Oréal Professionnel’s new international spokesperson for 2018.
The brand has been absolutely cheeky with their teaser video showing glimpses of a wavy-haired brunette being fussed over as she is captured for the new campaign, and a caption that reads: “We are launching tomorrow our new Color Me French – Parisian Nudes signature for hair coloration. Can you guess who is our muse? 🤗”
The video garnered over 8,000 views a mere 13 hours after being uploaded, with followers trying to guess the identity of the mysterious woman. Among the names thrown around in the comment section were Natalie Portman, Gal Gadot and French actress Marion Cotillard.
“Alexa Chung truly embodies some of L’Oréal Professionnel’s core values. She is a true trendsetter, always at the forefront of trends. She is passionate about fashion. She believes in the added value of professional hair artistry. And her personality perfectly embodies the L’Oréal Professionnel woman: confident, elegant, impertinent and free. In 2018, she will represent two key launches for the brand, both in haircare and haircolor”, says International General Manager L’Oréal Professionnel Marion Brunet.
Last May, the brand worked with Alexa backstage for the launch of her first clothing label, ALEXACHUNG, in London. The collaboration was revisited again for the fall edition during Paris Fashion Week.
It looks like Alexa might have been hinting at the partnership when she posted this new year’s message on Instagram. Or perhaps there are other partnerships up her sleeve? We’ll just have to wait and see.
