Jonah Lomu the former New Zealand All Blacks rugby legend died in Auckland aged 40.
“I can confirm the incredibly sad news that we’ve lost another All Black great. (Jonah Lomu) died at his home this morning,” New Zealand Rugby Union CEO Steve Tew said at a press conference Wednesday afternoon local time.
Lomu had been battling kidney disorders since the end of 1995 when he was diagnosed with nephrotic syndrome, and had a kidney transplant in 2004.
