Just before we say Sayonara to the year, let’s recap and look at all the highs and lows of 2015;
1.The birth of Princess Charlotte, the highly anticipated bundle of joy of Will and Kate had the world in awe when they announced the arrival of their beautiful baby girl on the 2nd of May 2015.
2.The world welcomed Caitlyn Jenner! The former Olympic runner for the first time graced the cover of Vanity Fair following heartfelt interview on her gender change. Caitlyn and was also crowned Glamour’s Woman of the Year 2015.
3.Rick Owens Models Wear Each Other at Paris Fashion Week, The daring designer twisted the rules and stunned viewers with models literally wearing models. Legs overhead and bum in face, Owens strapped them in position ready for the balancing act of a lifetime.
4.The puzzling death of Jon Snow, Game of Throne fans are still puzzled and shocked at the character kill of John Snow in the 5th season of GOT, John Snow played by the ever dashing Kit Harrison definitely broke hearts all over the world when his character was killed off with no apparent explanation.
5.Kim Kardashian West ; Breaking the Internet. Following Kim K’s A** in the 2014 November cover of Paper Mag did she really Break the web? Well we don’t know if she did but she sure is one of the most searched female celebrity on the internet! But is it good, bad or ugly? You decide.
6.New Zealand; Rugby World Cup Winners. The All Blacks took home the title this year after blood, sweat and tears at the Rugby World Cup held in England.
7.Paris under attack. Following other terrorist attacks around the world, the attacks on Paris that fateful November night had the world in shock and sadden for the victims in the city of lights.
8.Over Land and Sea, Migrants made their way through Europe. 2015 showed us many crimes against humanity and the efforts of restoration of humanity. Thousands made their way to seek refugee across borders and into the unknown for some.
9. Adele’s come back! It was hard to believe that the powerful vocals of Adele were resting for 3 long years. With singles from her album 25 debuting top of the charts and tour tickets selling out like hot cakes, it is safe to say the British powerhouse wont be retiring anytime soon.
10. Nicole Trunfio Criticised Over Breastfeeding Cover Sharing the image on Facebook, Trunfio wrote: “The last thing I want to do is be controversial, so please take this for what it is, let us #normalizebreastfeeding there is nothing worse than a mother that is judged for feeding her hungry child in public.”
11.FIFA money laudering scandal. The widespread bribery scandal embroiling FIFA have the authorities investigating the, world soccer’s troubled governing body. A British comedian threw banknotes at FIFA President Sepp Blatter at a news conference in Zurich.
12.Miss Universe mayhem. Crowning moments of 2015 brought to you by Steve Harvey. The mix up of the winner Miss Philippines and second runner up Miss Colombia left the world speechless as Steve Harvey took full responsibility of the mistake.
