Dyson isn’t a stranger to moving motors and creating gusts of air (if you’re not convinced, we direct you to the Dyson V10 cordless vacuum cleaner and the Dyson Supersonic Hairdryer). This year, Dyson announced a new lineup in its army of powerful motors – the Dyson Pure Cool air purifier.
Keen eyed Dyson cult fans will note this isn’t the first time the Pure Cool is being debuted; the first Pure Cool was introduced by Dyson in 2016. This year, a new, improved, and upgraded version of the Pure Cool is back. What we’re most intrigued about is its shiny LCD screen which shows real-time air quality, temperature, humidity, and pollutants. The results, presented in a tri-coloured graph, pulls data from the purifier’s on-board sensors. The sensors and 360 degree glass HEPA filters are extremely sensitive to small particles (pollens, dust), which also means (if you’re affected) you can say goodbye to pesky sinus problems in the morning.
The life span of its filters are marked at one year, assuming you use it for 12 hours every day.
Naturally, the upgraded features on the second generation Pure Cool comes with a slight surge in price tag: The smaller version suitable for work desks and table tops is priced at RM2,259; the tower suitable for living rooms and wide spaces is priced at RM2,829.
