It’s that time of the month and we’re talking about none other than the #pinkoctober month. The month where many events are organized in support of breast cancer and to create awareness.
Much loved Malaysian shoe designer Nelissa Hilman collaborates with artist Sharina Shahrin for a special art installation for #pinkoctober. The installation is a physical installation whereby a physical representation that 1 out of 20 women in Malaysia will experience breast cancer in their lifetime, or have dealt with a friend or family member with breast cancer and the installation acts as a reminder of its presence in our lives. The installation runs from 4th October to 6th November 2017.
Together with the creative duo from Oh Hello, Cari Siapa!, Nelissa Hilman has also designed a unique t-shirt with the caption “Love Everyday”. The limited edition tee was inspired by the pink ribbon, a worldwide symbol of breast health, celebrates the body we are in and finding harmony through doing things we love. Being body confident is powerful and should be celebrated.

- Card Making Workshop With Sharina Shahrin (for kids)
Not sure what to do this weekend for your kids? Fret not! We’ll be hosting our first children’s art workshop inspired by the work of Henri Matisse, which will be conducted by @sharinashahrin. Participants will learn how to create a personalized collage-based card for their loved ones and will be given options to explore with mixed media. Participants will be briefed on the processes and technics of the workshop with all materials provided. . Saturday, 14th October 2017 . 3:00 to 4:00 pm . UGF-20, Bangsar Village II . - Colour Your Nasi Lemak Workshop With Oh Hello, Cari Siapa!
We’ll also be hosting another art workshop on the 28th October conducted by @ohhellocarisiapa. . Based on a playful term of Nasi Lemak ‘Bungkus (Tetek)’, a breakfast staple of most Malaysians, it is a comical anatomy representation of a breast. . Participants are invited to learn the silkscreen process of the Nasi Lemak Bungkus onto a t-shirt and will be given options to play with colours onto their prints using fabric paints, stencils or fabric crayon. . Saturday, 28th October 2017 . 3:00 to 4:00 pm . UGF-20, Bangsar Village II . Open to everyone (Limited to 10 pax) . Fees RM100 per pax . Registration deadline is 24th October 2017.
