This week started with a bang as Marie Claire spent Monday night at Genting’s spanking new addition, The Sky Avenue. We were in for a treat as Burger & Lobster officially opened its doors for all you lobster lovers out there. The biggest question we needed the answer to, Is it the same as London’s Burger & Lobster?
The verdict: Yes! It’s exactly the same.. You must be wondering well how would she know? I was in London in January, and I had the grilled original lobster with lemon butter sauce at the Burger & Lobster in Mayfair. Frequent Burger & Lobster fans will not be disappointed as I assure you it tastes exactly the same. The cool weather in Genting will trick you into thinking you’re in London. Double bonus.
What’s different?: The chilli lobster of course! Sister to the Chilli crab, a whole lobster is cooked in a spicy, sweet and sour sauce. The lobster is cooked to perfection, the flesh juicy, firm and full of flavour. Paired with slices of butter brioche, you’ll want to keep dipping the bread in sauce. bread, sauce, bread, sauce, bread, sauce.. You get the idea.. Served in a large claypot A’la Malaysian, its perfect for sharing. The chilli lobster was developed by Burger & Lobster in Genting. The chilli lobster became so popular since its opening in Genting that Burger & Lobster HQ decided to add this special dish to their London restaurants menu. Malaysia makes it on the culinary world map!
