Singaporean-based F&B brand Thirtythree first launched The Dark Gallery in Kuala Lumpur in March 2017. Like its namesake suggests, The Dark Gallery is a chocolate cafe-and-boutique that seeks to encourage the enjoyment of artisan dark chocolate desserts. The chocolate boutique takes pride on its bean-to-bar concept that places a large focus on the art behind the chocolate – a small window at the side of the cafe allows guests to peek into the kitchen behind, where chefs temper chocolate, batch-freeze ice cream, and craft pastries.

If you’ve ever had to make the tough decision of choosing between 64 percent, 70 percent, or 72 percent dark chocolate, say no more. TDG curated four tasting platters: Single Origin Dark Chocolate Ice Cream Platter, Single Origin Hot Chocolate Shots Platter, Single Origin Pastries Platter, and Single Origin Chocolate Medley. The ice cream platter features single origin chocolate from Madagascar, Dominican Republic, and Venezuela – all three places comprising of varying cacao content. TDG’s artisanal ice cream is made batch by batch following intense R&D to bring out the best of chocolate. Each scoop of the ice cream holds a different taste – a light and fruity Madagascan to an intensely bittersweet Venezuelen. It is recommended to start from the left with the least cacao content of 64 percent, and make your way to the right.
