WOO Bar at W Hotel
Since the opening of W Hotel, WOO Bar and the Wet Deck are known to be hotspots in KL for party goers. The bar is known to serve hi tea in the day and at night transforms into this seductive bar where an array of cocktails is served from two different menus the Tiger (harimau) and the Peacock (burung merak) along with champagne and the works.
As you enjoy any of the cocktails from either menu, don’t forget to order their snacks as they go very well with the drinks.
My colleague Karen and I had two different drinks from both the Tiger and the Peacock menu. Karen had chosen to go with the stronger cocktails and for myself the lighter ones.
From the Tiger menu we were served a savory drink called Nut This Time which was served in a unique bird glass as seen above. Nut This Time comprises of dark rum, campari and a slew of other ingredients which gives it that delicious savory, sweet and sour taste. Perfect for those struggling to decide on a specific taste. We also had High Five prepared with key ingredient being Tualang Honey. If you think the honey is going to over power the drink, you’re wrong and in fact it goes so well as it releases this bitter sweet taste.
Moving on to the Peacock menu, we had Bouquet and Islay Wonderland served, both were unique in their own way. The Bouquet focuses on an arrangement of exquisite floral essences and flavours along with a splash of Tualang Royal Black Honey in it whilst Islay Wonderland is about peated whiskey. Fans of whiskey would enjoy this peated whiskey with hints of chamomile in it. In order to drink the Islay Wonderland, you’ll first have to blow away the smoke created before enjoying the first sip.
