To celebrate the achievements and prowess of female athletes, Under Armour launched it latest campaign Unlike Any. The campaign showcases the remarkable talents of six Under Armour athletes: American Ballet Theatre principal ballerina Misty Copeland, long distance runner and run crew founder Alison Désir, world champion sprinter Natasha Hastings, professional stuntwoman Jessie Graff, and Chinese taekwondo champion and actress Zoe Zhang. World champion alpine skier Lindsey Vonn will be featured in a debut film this fall.
All these women have one thing in common - their achievements are often minimised through gender comparisons. Through spoken word poetry, each athlete stars in their own short film that sheds light on their journey. Each spoken word poetry artist (Saul Williams, Aja Monet, Kojey Radical, Dominique Christina, and Aristophanes 貍貓) was carefully selected to bring innate insight to each athlete's story.
After graduating from a China top sports studies institute and earning a spot on the National Taekwondo Team, Zoe Zhang suffered an injury that forced her into early retirement. Like the spirit that embodies the brand, Zoe fought her way back by being one of China’s most famous actresses – focusing in martial arts.
