My personal review of Cathay Pacific Business Class Flight from Kuala Lumpur to LA
No matter how many times a year I travel, I’ve never lost the rush of excitement and apprehension I got when I first boarded an international flight. So for me, the experience I get whilst travelling –from checking-in to lounging and onto the flight itself–matters a whole lot. Airports aren’t glamorous places and no amount of designer shops will compensate for the time spent patiently waiting for our turn at security, only to be told that our bags need a second shuffling through because we forgot to take out our Ipads. And in addition to that, certain flights have long layovers which can sometimes stretch up to six or seven hours. So! for my trip down to LA, I decided to fly via Cathay Pacific Business Class for a smoother flight experience. Here are my low downs on what to expect on both onboard the flight and in between transits:
A-Class Business Class Lounge That Will Make You Love Your Layover
I passed the time before my next Cathay Pacific flight by grabbing a bite, longing down and freshening up at the airline’s Business-class lounge, The Wing. Trust me: A nice warm shower after a long-haul flight while waiting for a layover is everything. I couldn’t help but indulge in traditional Chinese specialities like congee and dim sum baskets, along with wonton soup and noodles (what diet) that were made fresh at the lounge. My layover from Hong Kong to LA was extremely long, so I made use of the fully stocked up shower rooms to freshen up, and prepare for my next flight out. But before leaving the lounge, I unwind with a tall glass of specialty iced coffee, and relaxed at one of their many super comfy lounge chairs around the room.
Flying High With Cathay Pacific
The flight itself was truly a relaxing one. And as usual, I made sure I had requested for a window seat. There was still a lot of daylight left, so it was great to look out the window as I enjoyed my pre-departure welcome drink and settled into my super comfortable seat. The Cathay Pacific business class seat feels very roomy, and what I absolutely loved was the way the seats were designed to give the passenger as much privacy as one can get on a flight. A foldable dining table swings out from underneath the side table for scrumptious meals, while the armrest can be lowered for more space. But space wasn’t an issue–there was so much space to store my belongings and to generally move about in my seat.
The panel to the side of myseat contained a power connection to charge my electronic devices, along with a handy storage compartment that can be closed for my headphone.
Next, was of course the entertainment! I hadn’t had much time to watch so many new movies, that I made sure I made time to watch them whilst having lunch, dinner and snacks on board my flight to LA.
After indulging in the meals prepared for me, along with my movies, I decided to turn in for the night, by clicking on the seat controls to convert my seat into a comfortable flatbed. Lights out!
