Although a new year or new decade doesn’t necessarily guarantee a changed person overnight, it still one of the best times to reset your intentions for the year to come. And as part of our 2020 aspirations, team MC shares some of their personal skin goals for the new year!
I used to be such a devoted masker; I would try to mask at least once a day, and even sometimes twice a day if I was feeling lavish. Now, I don’t do any of that — I rarely prioritize it and I’m lucky if I mask at least once a week. Slathering my skin in an acne-killing, pore-unclogging, exfoliating formula is something my skin has definitely been missing and I would like to get back to treating my skin more often. —Alisha Azuddin, Writer
My New Year’s resolution for 2020 would be to stay hydrated and moisturize more. Oftentimes, when I’m at my desk working or when I’m running around, I don’t drink enough water which frankly, is quite terrible. Staying in a fully air-conditioned space also makes my skin feel more parched. This is where moisturizing regularly would also help and I’m keen to see this through the year. —Ai Lim, Fashion Writer
Having an unfixed schedule due to my career results in me occasionally skipping my night I would often feel too exhausted to go through a beauty routine, and end up just cleansing my makeup off my face right before I head to bed! This new year, I will do all I can to be more diligent when it comes to my skincare routine, to ensure that my skin stays healthy and radiant. After all, I am not getting any younger! A beauty resolution for the year 2020, here we come! —Ezza Zainal, Digital Content Writer
Last year, I began taking sun protection seriously. Sure, I fell off the wagon a little bit at the beginning, but by mid-year, it became second nature for me to put sunscreen on my face, even if I’m staying indoors. However, I’ve been slacking on giving the rest of my body the same attention. For 2020, I want to be more diligent on providing sun care for the neglected regions – I think it’s totally about time for that! —Najihah Rashid, Writer
