Who is the COS woman?
We don’t think of one particular person, more a group of people that share a mindset; an interest in culture and appreciation of quality design.
You’ve been with COS for more than a decade, how do you think you are making an impact?
At COS, our DNA has been the same since we started, creating collections with a timeless aesthetic and modern feel. We’ve grown as a company and have been lucky enough to receive a great response globally. It’s really gratifying to be able to look back and see the same values have been applied to every collection, every store and every collaboration.
As a designer, do you think you have evolved?
I’ve worked at COS since 2006 before the launch in 2007, starting out as an Assistant Designer, back then my job was very much working on the structures of the garments, experimenting with fabric and fit and forming the building blocks of the brand. Since taking on the role of Creative Director in 2011, I still work very closely with our design team on the seasonal directions but more so on the global vision of the brand and how our DNA is applied in every area of our work. It’s an exciting position to be in as the creative world is constantly evolving with new technologies and innovative materials and it’s interesting to see how these changes can inspire each collection.
