Indulge yourself with our favourite bags from Bottega Veneta’s SS20 Collection
Daniel Lee reimagines his vision at Bottega Veneta for SS20. This season, the “focus is on process and clarity; immediate and direct”. Peppered on the runway was an intricate play between soft and sturdy silhouettes, further heightened by a fine-tuned choreographed dance of minimalism versus maximalism.
The show notes state that “contrast is essential” where “collage, texture and nuance” are a “continuous extension of each other”. Colours are bold and rich, consisting of saturated orange, icy blue and dark hues of black and brown that serve to balance the former. While the unending languid movements of clothing that hugged and flowed with ease drew admiring looks, the accessories stole the show this season. Available in a myriad of colours, textures and natural materials, we highlight our favourite bags from the collection.
First on our list is the stylish Envelope Pouch. Featuring a distinctive triangular fold and a leather wrist strap for security, the Envelope Pouch exudes effortless minimalism for the everyday. Carry it tucked neatly under your arm and you’re good to go!
Another clutch bag that caught our eye is the contemporary and clever BV Snap. The bag presents a modern take on the house’s signature Intrecciato weave. Other elements we love include the witty snap clasp that is made from a single block of rare Tuja Root, enhanced with gold and silver hardware.
Last but not least is Bottega Veneta’s BV Jodie that avid fans of the brand will come to love in a heartbeat. A nod to the heritage of the brand, the bag’s timeless shape is modernized with an emblematic knot. We are especially taken with the mini size offering that will easily match any outfit in your wardobe.
Designed with comfort and beauty in mind, Bottega Veneta’s SS20 collection is sophisticated and confident. Head over to their boutiques in KLCC and Pavilion Kuala Lumpur for a taste of their latest collection. Alternatively, view their website to discover more.
