The fashion designer musical chairs is still going strong with news that Christian Dior is set to appoint one half of Valentino’s creative director design duo, Maria Grazia Chiuri, as its Creative Director, making her the first-ever female creative director in the company’s 70-year history. Maria would fill the shoes of Raf Simons, who departed from his role as creative director last October. The Dior appointment will be the designer’s first solo design post and will leave Mr. Piccioli alone at the creative helm of Valentino. Now the question is, can they can do separately what they did together? Well, we can’t wait to find out!
