Tisci’s Take On Love And Holidays!
For his first festive campaign, Riccardo Tisci the Burberry chief creative officer has gathered a cast of his beloved supporters since his fresh start at Burberry. The whole idea behind this campaign is about love and being loved and what better time to celebrate it than the holiday season which is all about family and friends.
This collection has kept the fresh look of Tisci’s Burberry but with a drip of joyfulness. Embroidered cocktail dresses and contemporary chain mail pieces decorated with crystal fringes will definitely make you stand out at the party. The new alphabet charms and small monogrammed goods are great options as Christmas gifts. Other choices are the reprinted archival silk or the updated cashmere scarves with reversible TB monogram, Icon stripes or Dalmatian print.
The cast of the campaign varies from the iconic Carla Bruni to the Chinese star Zhou Dongyu. They express their feelings on the campaign:
Carla Bruni says: ‘I love the concept of the campaign – this big group of different people coming together. I had a fabulous time with Riccardo and was thrilled to find myself behind the lens of Mert & Marcus again. Onset, Riccardo gave me this feeling of freedom and modernity – his talent is beyond words. You can see that he has this profound and precious knowledge of fashion, and has this simplistic way of using the past to invent the future. My most precious festive memory is a Christmas Eve in a castle completely buried in snow in Touraine.’
Zhou Dongyu expressed her joy by saying: ‘It was so much fun working with so many talented people, and Riccardo’s low-key, down-to-earth vibe took a lot of the edge off. I was nervous at first, but felt more at home as the day went on! My favorite festive memory is definitely sitting around the table with family and friends, joking around with each other and feeling completely relaxed.’
