With so many different aspects of L.A to pull from including the glossed-up silicon-ed beauties of Hollywood, the laidback affluence of Malibu and the off-kilter energy of Silverlake and Echo Park, the city is ripe with inspiration.

Tom Ford- “Took his London show to L.A”
Trust Tom Ford to pull off such an extravagant runway show in Los Angeles on the very same weekend of London fashion week and the Academy Awards. With the city becoming a hub for designers, it was natural for the Texan creative director to bring his star-studded Fall 2015 show down to sunny LA, at Milk Studios. But Tom is no stranger to the City of Angels. In fact, he has resided there for almost 20 years—his partner Richard Buckley and him own a Richard Neutra villa in Bel-Air. “I have loved LA since I first moved there from New York in the early 1980’s,” Tom said when he made the announcement about his show in L.A. “Richard [Buckley] and I have had a home there and divided our time between LA and Europe for the past 20 years and have always felt a deep-rooted connection to the city.”
Jeremy Scott- “SS15 collection Inspired by California’s most iconic girl, Barbie ”
Jeremy Scott injects a major dose of irreverent fun into L.A.‘s shopping scene as the offbeat creative director of Moschino opened the first Moschino store in West Hollywood early this year. The 3500 square foot store, located at 8933 Beverly Boulevard in the heart of the West Hollywood Design District, is a vast and light filled gallery space with soaring ceilings and sleek chrome fixtures. “I wanted an open gallery space that would be a blank canvas for my collections. I hope that people will love the environment, to come in and want to hang out.”
To further show his love for L.A., he brought the most iconic California girl, Barbie to a new dream house, the house of Moschino for his Spring/Summer 2015 collection. “Every girl on the planet has been touched by the magic of Barbie at one time or another in her life,” says Moschino Creative Director Jeremy Scott. “Now is the moment to celebrate this star and her take-charge, confident attitude. Remember ladies: ‘We girls can do anything— Like Barbie!!!!’ ”
