Malaysian fashion designer, Jovian Mandagie has come up with an interesting concept for Zalora that showcases a fusion of Japanese and Malay culture in his Raya 2018 collection.
Cheery blossoms and playful floral prints on a kurung top adds a traditional Japanese touch to the ensemble. Jovian Mandagie’s Zalora Edo collection showcased 29 Japanese inspired looks for #ZALORAYA2018 and yes, we like it all!
The Japanese kimono silhouette is paired with the inspiration of a kebaya top, paired with tiny ribbon wraps, ruffled sleeves, peplums and beading on the fabric.
The sophisticated prints with floral beading on a pastel coloured fabric and perfected with a obi belt certainly gives that modern yet traditional feel.
From royal blue and striking red to soft, bright pastels, the #ZALORAYA2018 collection offers a variety of selection to ensure you celebrate your Raya in style.
Jovian Mandagie’s wide choice of fabrics fulfils a dream of elegance derived from attention to detail. The collection also incorporates traditional Japanese prints such as the chrysanthemum flower, and Sakura which portrays the identity of the Japanese culture.
The collection retails at RM551 to RM678. So, what are you waiting for? Get yours now at zalora.com.my
