The Spanish luxury brand, LOEWE, is not only focusing all their energy in ensuring the safety of the frontliners in Spain but also the rights of the nation’s children.
CEO and Artistic Director of LOEWE, Jonathan Anderson, said the brand will be collaborating alongside Plataforma de Infancia which is a Spanish alliance of social organisations specialising in protecting children and adolescents’ rights, to launch several educational programs during the summer.
This effort is meant to reduce the disparity in education and the rate of school dropouts, especially among children that are in socially vulnerable groups directly being affected by the current COVID-19 situation.
For each product sold off the Paula’s Ibiza collection from May to August 2020 in LOEWE stores or on loewe.com, 40 euros will be donated to educational projects from the brand themselves. These donations will be added on to the initial 500,000 euros LOEWE has donated to the Plataforma de Infancia.
Not forgetting the current ongoing dilemma of COVID-19, the brand is playing its role in fighting the disease by donating 100,000 surgical masks to the Spanish Red Cross for all the medical frontliners that are risking their lives every day for the greater good of the country.
Understanding that precautionary steps have to be taken to flatten the curve, LOEWE will also be manufacturing their own non-surgical masks in their Getafe factory which will be distributed among volunteer workers, the brand’s employees and their families.
