Bottega writes the next chapter of the Art of Collaboration with a disruptive new digital-first ad campaign for SS18 that’s been created with renowned agency Baron & Baron entitled Reflections. The Reflections campaign sees moving images as its core. It has been visualized as an anthology series with six distinct and deeply cinematic films directed by Fabien Baron which are released episodically throughout the season through multiple partners and platforms.
This time around the Art of Collaboration relies on a team of collaborators as opposed to a single creative voice to translate Tomas Maier’s vision. Some of the stellar talent working with Tomas Maier are Fabien Baron who directed the films, Philippe Le Sourd an Academy Award-nominated cinematographer, renowned set designer Stefan Beckman, and record producer and composer Johnny Jewel who landed the original soundtrack for the six films and trailers.
The vision for Reflections is woven from the following brand pillars – Mystery, Sophistication, Architecture, Sensuality and Surrealism. The first two films released were Miraggio and 196.6 MHz in February were directed by Fabien Baron followed by Utopia and Rebirth.
Utopia – chapter 3
Utopia sees a man and woman cross paths in the midst of a mysterious pink fog. The film depicts an idealistic world that is dreamy but charged with potential of a moment where to people meet upon crossing the street.
Rebirth- chapter 4
Rebirth is centered on the reversal of time, where motionless characters are in a warmly lit room, creating a beautiful unspoken connection through the movement of lights and objects. The multitude of flowers represent the rebirth of life, a dreamy state of nostalgic memories and the naiveté of childhood.
