A Quote you live by:
Two things define you– Your patience when you have nothing, and your attitude when you have everything.
Who inspires you and why?
My father. His passion and energy to make a difference in the world.
What is the most memorable place you’ve visited?
It has to be Bora Bora. It’s the kind of place that makes you anxious to wake up an hour early just to live an hour more. I still slip into a daydream every time I think of this Polynesian pearl.

Where is home for you?
It’s always who you share it with, isn’t it? Home is indeed where the heart is.. I’ve left pieces of it in a few places as I’ve lived in Bournemouth, Oxford & Bergamo before, and now–Switzerland.
But, Malaysia will always have my love.
How did you end up living in Switzerland?
I have Paris to thank for it. I went on a red double decker bus ride in the city of love; years ago and the very same stranger who was seated next to me is now my hubby. As he resides in Switzerland, naturally; the Mrs. follows.

And what do you love about the country?
The lifestyle. It’s a stress-free living; where the people are so honest that the local municipality runs a “Lost and Found Office”. I dropped my wallet in Zurich this one time, and exactly one week later I received a letter from the LFO that they’ve found my purse. Everything was intact– the credit cards, money.. they even gave me a Swiss chocolate bar at the end, “for all my troubles.”
Tell us about some must-visit places when in Switzerland?
Switzerland is synonymous with beautiful scenery. No matter where you end up in your journey in this country, fresh air, crystal-clear clean lakes, endless alps are sure to be in your way.
A pit-stop worthy is the Berggasthaus Aescher. You may have seen a picture of it on the cover of the National Geographic’s ‘Most Amazing Places on Earth’. If you are up for a hike, it offers a spectacular view of the Seealp lake. After the climb, you get to reward yourself with the biggest, fattest, crispiest rösti in the world. (Which is a Swiss National Dish.) Now, when you think of Switzerland, chocolates and luxury watches are going to be high up in the list; surely. Personally, I’d love to know the mechanics, the history that goes behind a product or story.
So, I’ll suggest:
Get the hands-ticking yourself at one of the Swiss Watchmaking Factories. I have my timer set on DuBois et fils. It’s the oldest Swiss Luxury Watchmaking Factory. Imagine having a piece of history on your wrist.
Or how about discovering the sweet world of delight? Join a chocolate-making class in one of the many Swiss chocolate factories. My favourite has to be Lindt & Sprüngli.
And of course; no trip to Switzerland is complete without trying some of the world’s best cheese. Head to a fromagerie. My recommendation would be Gruyère.
Carefree living in the Swiss Alps
What and where is the best meal you’ve ever had?
Ooh-la-la.. there’s so many delicious destinations to choose from, but Mexico wears the crown. There’s a small eatery off the path in Rio Lagartos. The fish is so fresh; You get to fish yourself– from the sea to the kitchen to the plate; within minutes!
How would you describe your instagram account?
It revolves around my ‘Everyday is a holiday.’ –charming & carefree.
How do you produce such amazing photos on your instagram account?
Firstly, merci. There’s this thing called instahubby.
Tell us more about your travels, and your travel wish list in 2018?
Will try to go to Argentina for Polo again this year, and maybe Aruba to feed the flamingos.
Mermaiding around at the Pink Lake of Bolivia.
What are your plans for Christmas and NYE?
Actually, I am a spontaneous person. I’ll just spin the globe and wherever it lands, that’s where I’ll be for NYE.
