Dior hosts the Tiepolo Ball in Palazzo Labia, Venice, Italy.
Marking the beginning of the Biennale de Venise, The House of Dior has partnered with the Venetian Heritage Foundation to co-host the “Tiepolo Ball”. The charity dinner and ball honours the incredible link between Dior and Venice, and the House’s adoration of opulence.
Held at the famed Palazzo Labia, the gala revives the splendid spirit of the iconic “Ball of the Century” held by Charles de Beistegui in 1951. The beautiful events paid tribute to the golden era of Baroque. Among the revered guests are Christian Dior himself and Salvador Dali who has elaborately designed for the occasion.
Here’s a sneak peak of that magical night.
Stunningly remarkable performance created by the artist Parolabianca featured dancers and stilt walkers. The moving tableaux were highlighted by sculptural reflective dresses named Constellation that was crafted Italian artist Pietro Ruffo representing the starry night sky and the 12 signs of the zodiac.
For a handful of personalities and friends of Dior, Maria Grazia Chiuri exclusively designs in collaboration with two Venetian Houses: Bevilacqua and Rubelli. Don’t forget to switch on the subtitles of this video!
