Some of our favourite beauty looks on the runway this season are so nondescript that they’re almost invisible, which is exactly what makes them so special. Today we’re talking about subtle metallic eyeshadow look that several brands donned on their runways this season, adding to the fresh, dewy skin trend that everyone seems to be crazy about.
Winter is just around the corner and as is usual, winter beauty trends come following behind. Let’s do away with the colourful eyes and lips, and welcome back clean, fresh-faced glowing skin. Paying close attention to eye shadow detail, the subtle metallic eye makes up a good portion of the looks we saw on the runway.
Shadow is swept on loosely across the eyelid, in mostly warmer tones close to the colour of the model’s skin tone for an au natural look that opens up the eyes and brings more dimension to the face. Try a warm orange-golden shimmer on for size, and pair this with a dark oxblood lip to complete your look.
You can also try a multi-toned metallic eye with a little more colour if you refuse to get with the season and would like to see more colour on your face, like the models at the Biagiotti show. Pat on a pale pink shimmer in the center of your lids, keeping close to your lashes and blending the colour outward above your crease. Use a bright shade of canary yellow and apply to the inner corners of your eyes for a small pop of colour.
The barely-there shimmer shadow adds colour to the pale0faced autumn runway look and is easy enough to be dubbed completely fool proof, I can personally vouch for that. But the greatest thing about it is that you can choose to wear it sheer or built-up with both warm or cool colours and is as versatile as you want it to be without straying too far from the trend!
