On August 14th, Kendall Jenner came home in West Hollywood Hills to find a man in his mid-twenties sitting in front of her driveway, who eventually tailed her car through the gate of her property. When Kendall screamed “Who are you?” and demanded him to leave, the man “started freaking out” and began “banging on all her windows” – which prompted her to call the police. The man was later arrested for stalking, with his bail set at U$D 180, 000.
Recently the model took to the stand to testify against her stalker, named Shavaughn McKenzie. She was to recount how she found him in front of her driveway after her return home.
Her stalker had followed her car and went on to start banging on her window, screaming “Can I talk to you?”, and had tried to reassure her by insisting “I don’t have a gun.”
“I’ve never been so scared in my life,” she said, recalling that she had later driven out of the driveway and then down the street in order to call a friend for help. “I was crying, I was screaming, I was freaking out. I didn’t know what his intentions were. I was freaking out. This is not how I want to be living. I really don’t feel safe in my own house. I’m already the kind of person who’s on edge.”
She added that she had been traumatized after the incident and had no choice but to stay at a neighbour’s house out of fear from returning to her property.
The accused, McKenzie is currently facing one count of misdemeanor stalking and trespassing in the case.
This year doesn’t seem to be a secure year for the Jenner-Kardashian family, for another incident that threatened their safety was the recent robbery of Kim Kardashian West in Paris, Kendall’s half-sister. At this rate, their sizeable salaries would have to be invested into very beefed up security.
