#6 Chemerong Waterfall, Terengganu
Located at the Chemerong Forest Reserve, this 305-meter high waterfall is considered one of the tallest in Southeast Asia. Once you’re there, take the ‘meditation walk’ in search of your inner peace for just RM2 per entry. If you’re planning to stay overnight, do camp under the stars for just RM5. Remember to book three weeks in advance to get your camping permit ready on time. You’ll also be able to handpick medicinal herbs surrounding the forest or purchase them from the herb sellers living nearby. While the beautiful waterfall is the main attraction, be sure to also walk up to Langsir under the stars at night for a view you’ll remember for a lifetime! That’s not all – don’t forget to take a picture with 1,000-year-old Cengal (Neopbalanocarpus heimii) tree which is considered the largest in Peninsular Malaysia.
