While butter and toast go well hand-in-hand, it’s nice to shake things up a bit especially when you’re feeling restless with the #WorkFromHome policy right now. If you’re a vegan, then you are in luck! We have a quick, healthy, and vegan alternative for your toast. The best part is that, this delicious treat can last for up to two to three weeks. Isn’t that lovely? Here’s how to make it:
- Using a food processor, blitz the almonds into a runny paste.
- Scrape down the sides of the processor occasionally and keep pulsing it for the right texture needed. The longer the process, the creamier and thicker the texture would be.
- Once you’ve got a thick consistency, add a pinch of salt or two at the very end to give that extra kick of flavour.
- Transfer the paste into a clean container and refrigerate. Enjoy it with slices of bread toast, crackers, or even apple slices whenever you need a breather or you’re just feeling peckish.
Just so you know, this recipe also works well with cashews and peanuts.
