It may be one the most visited landmarks in the world, but the Eiffel Tower is now attracting a different kind of crowd, particularly those with a taste for thrill.
Hanging at 115 meters, Perrier has installed a zipline in lieu with the French Open tennis tournament. It starts from the second floor of the Parisian landmark, where volunteers can zip through above the Champs de Mars park and land on a platform. The ride is roughly 800 meters long, but you’ll reach the speed of up to 90km/h!
“You have the feeling you are going to die – then you die.” One thrill-seeking volunteer claimed, flush-faced after his zipline. “You come alive again when you [land] here. It’s amazing! It’s great, it’s amazing!”
