Walt Disney Malaysia has also released an official statement to confirm its release.
Last week, many were angered by the Censorship Board’s decision to make a minor cut to the movie after director Bill Condon mentioned that there would be a “nice exclusively gay moment” for the character LeFou, played by Josh Gad.
It later went on to garner international attention when Disney refused to release the movie with cuts.
According to major cinemas, purchasing of tickets will be made available soon.
