The Best Dressed at the BAFTA’s 2019
The much anticipated 72nd British Academy Film Awards was all the hype over the weekend and through the week. One of the most esteemed awards outside of the states, the event celebrated a string of impressive movies along with stars dressed to the nines. The BAFTA took place at London’s Royal Albert Hall and saw the attendance of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge along with Britain’s known stars.
Before we dive into the fashion bit of the top looks that night, let us talk about the big winners of that night. From the heartfelt Spanish black and white movie Roma directed by Alfonso Cuarón to The Favourite starring Olivia Colman as Queen Anne, both of which took home a lot of awards that night. Roma bagged the best film, the best film not in the English language, best director and best cinematography whilst The Favourite was nominated for 12 categories and won 7.
As for A Star is Born and Bohemian Rhapsody, the former won 7 awards which included Bradley Cooper as best actor, best director and one award for original music with co-star Lady Gaga. The latter won two awards, one for Rami Malek as the leading actor and the other for sound.
