Dedicated to K-world fans out there, Astro’s Oh!K has delivered a new show Saimdang and you don’t want to miss it.

1.Lee Young-ae’s TV comeback
For those who are dedicated fans of the popular Korean actress, Lee Young-ae, this TV show is a marks her return to screen after 13 years. In this show she is plays the role of Seo Jiyun, a part-time lecturer and PhD student with a goal of earning the full- time position as an art history professor, and also the role of the real-life historical artist Shin Saimdang.
Not only that this drama is backed with a great twist of history, the first episode is set in Bologna, Italy, serving us with the beautiful scenery of the city.
Although the relationship that is going to come between jiyun/Saimdang and Lee Gyeom (played by Song Seung-heon) is yet to be revealed, based on the first episode there’s no doubt that it’ll be an exciting one.
4.The eye- candies
Come on, let’s be honest. Most of us girls are probably in it for the swoon-worthy heroes. And in Saimdang former model Song Seung-heon and Yang Se-jong will be playing the older and younger roles of Lee Gyeom. Eye. Candies.
5. Realistic heroine
The drama may have its fair share of fiction, but Jiyun herself is someone that most of us can easily relate to based on the life struggles she had to go through. Juggling her roles as a lecturer, wife and mother.
6. Malevolent villain
What’s drama without a good villain? Actor Choi Jong-hwan is portraying the role of Professor Min. That detestable evil man who will do anything to keep himself at the top.
As if those points above are not enough. Saimdang offers it’s share of magic and fantasy sprinkled here and there. And if you’re into fantasy, we’ll say it again. You don’t want to miss it.
