Serial killers have long garnered fascination from society. Their heinous crimes coupled with the complete lack of remorse for committing them make these murderers all the more subjects of the public’s morbid fascination.
Types of Female Killers:
Black Widows kill family members or partners, most often for financial gain.
Angel of Death
Angels of Death typically start killing in their early 20s, and can kill as many as 8 people in one or two years. They are more likely to brag about their murders, which often leads to their arrest.
Women can find just as much motivation in sex as men and some of them are willing to kill for it.
Some women take revenge on violence when she is a child, some take revenge because of cheating or exposure to violence.
These are the women who get instigated by their male partners to get into committing gruesome crimes. Some of these women even end up being more vicious than their male counterparts.
The Story of Joanna Dennehy
One of the more recent serial killings committed by a woman is that of Joanna Dennehy, a woman in the UK who has become the first British woman to receive a whole-life tariff from a judge. The mother of two went on a murder spree that included the stabbing of three men and non-fatal assaults on others. Her murders were known as the Peterborough ditch murders and took place in March 2013.
More disturbinigly, Dennehy has displayed signs of true psychotic behaviour in the way she has been completely unremorseful and even pleased about her murders. There are photos of her that have her posing provocatively with a knife and she is believed to have phoned a friend after having committed a murder to say, “Oops! I did it again!” while the song by Britney Spears played on in the background!
Dennehy had a long history of alcohol and drug abuse and was known for being a violent, abusing her partners including the father of her two children for years. She has grand delusions of herself and views herself as being a heroine in a tale of homicidal drama. She has provided much theatrics in her subsequent trial and conviction dolling out quotes such as, “I murdered three men but it could be worse, I could be fat” to the press to add more fuel to her violent fire. She is now serving her sentence of life imprisonment.
