#3 Maggy Wang
The last two weeks at home has given Maggy the opportunity to channel her inner chef, cooking healthy yet simple dishes like porridge, penne pasta, grilled salmon, vegetables, and definitely tons of fruits has made her feel glad at staying home.
Another way she keeps her spirits high and mental health in check is by reaching out to loved ones. Maggy uses this downtime period to treat herself, from having home spa days to having Bruno Major’s voice accompanying her throughout her day, she’s managed to settle in well despite the restricted movement.
Maggy’s way of prioritising her mental well-being also consists of taking a break from social media sometimes, the overwhelming amount of daily news and constant updates can be detrimental to us if consumed in excess. She’s also using the extra time on her hands to learn something new, Maggy recently took up a digital marketing course so that she can come back to her business stronger and wiser than ever.
While it is nice to enjoy all the relaxation that comes along with downtime, Maggy is grateful that her Apple Watch sometimes reminds her to stand up after a whole day of sitting and that the Breathe app gives her time to collect herself through proper breathing techniques.
Working out without equipment can be tough but Maggy points out that there are so many other methods of working out, her personal favourite being ANIMAL FLOW, a ground-based bodyweight movement. Every weekend at her fitness studio, Motion Lab, Maggy takes the time to teach the right ways of mastering ANIMAL FLOW but due to the MCO, she’s taking her hottest class to the digital world.
