History happened overnight as we slept, and our local Twitter feed exploded over Rio Paralympics. This video perfectly summarizes our feelings towards Negaraku being played at the Rio Olympics stadium.
Three athletes brought pride to Malaysians over the weekend at the Olympics stadium.
Ridzuan Mohamad Puzi set the ball rolling after winning Malaysia’s first ever Paralympic gold in the men’s 100m T36 sprint, and even managed to set a new Paralympic record of 12.07 seconds.
Ziyad Zolkefli followed suit by breaking the world record and bagging gold on the men’s shot with a record of 16.84m.
To wrap it up nicely, Abdul Latif Romly delivered yet another gold for Malaysia (another record breaker) in the men’s long jump T20.
Congratulations athletes, you made us so proud!
