Hydration is key! Be sure to have at least 3 liters of water daily. Try to drink 2 glasses of water every hour that passes after iftar time. You usually have a 4 – 5 hours window before your bed time so sip through your hydration liquid and avoid caffeine, carbonated, and sweet drinks as best as you can as these can make you feel thirstier during the day. (To help manage your water intake, try WaterMinder on Apple Watch).
Drink up your bcaa / amino acids! Drink up your amino acids & glutamine. Have it as a post workout drink if you workout right before iftar time. Have it during training if you are training post iftar. Or make yourself a simple treat (try homemade BCAA popsicles) and have it as and when you like.
Quit your bad habits. A perfect time to kick your bad eating habits away. Do a Ramadan fast food free challenge or desserts free challenge or dairy free challenge. Who knows, after Ramadan ends your body will automatically reject all these bad food and you finally be able to eat healthier without feeling tortured.
