Head on over to the Khun Chang Khian Highland Agricultural Research Centre. The beautiful heaven of wild Hilmalayan cherry trees blooms during the December and January season. The chilly weather and the beautiful colours of the cherry trees are Instagram perfect! You might even get mistaken to have travelled to Japan instead!
If you love strolling along a street canopied by cherry blossoms then perhaps a trip to Chiang Rai instead. The quiet little tourist hub shares a border with Laos and has more cherry blossom destinations then Chiang Mai as it is located further north. We highly suggest renting a car and riding around the lush cherry blossom trees and even getting a glimpse of Thailand’s rural cultures here!
